FA/FB share a flange plate at different positions. CR requires CB. TC/FTC need the listed TCM1/TCM2: support size numbers may differ from bore. Confirm package and fasteners.

TC is adjustable and separately orderable for this bore. Drawing-reference support centers: position for actual load.

TC locking torque: 2–3 N·m; static holding-force reference: 800 N, not cylinder thrust or payload. Above this, specify factory nonstandard fixed TC. Place bracket on barrel ledges and position it. Pre-tighten; check bracket and barrel sloping faces contact. 32/40: tighten 8 black screws through pre-, intermediate and final tightening.

Drawing holes: LB 4 AP; FA/FB 4 BP; CR 4 K through-holes and 4 L counterbores; TCM1 4 E; TCM2 4 L through-holes and 4 K counterbores. CA DQ/CB CP tolerance: ±0.1 mm. Hole counts do not specify supplied fastener quantities.

M10×1.25 rod joints use the carbon-steel catalog category; subparts/finishes are unspecified. Select joints/guides for load. Joint mass is excluded from cylinder weight. Y drawing: no separate pin-kit code or guaranteed kit count.

Force and Application

Parameter Value
Extension effective area 804 mm²; catalog rounded single-rod area
Extension at 0.5 MPa 402 N theoretical
Retraction effective area 690 mm²; catalog rounded single-rod area
Retraction at 0.5 MPa 345 N theoretical

Theoretical axial force = effective area (mm²) × pressure (MPa), before friction/losses. Rod area reduces retraction area. Not safe working loads or guaranteed payloads.

Installation and Maintenance

Qualified personnel only. Before maintenance: secure loads, guard motion, isolate power/air and release residual pressure. Prevent unexpected restart motion; design for power/air loss.

Use clean, dry air filtered ≤40 µm; remove water, degraded oil and debris. Protect from dust, corrosion, coolant, weld spatter, vibration, heat and freezing; assess unusually dry air. Strong magnetic fields affect sensing.

Start unloaded; increase load gradually. Align rod/load; guide against side load, bending, impact and torque. Check long-stroke buckling, sag, support and air use. Rod joints do not replace guides.

Load-ratio guidance: ≤0.7 static/low speed; ≤0.5 at 50–500 mm/s; ≤0.3 above 500 mm/s. Not structural safety factors or payload guarantees; obey cylinder pressure/speed limits.

Fit flow controls at both ports; double action normally uses meter-out. Start closed; open gradually. Set cushions for load/speed without forcing screws. Heavy/fast loads may need an external absorber or deceleration circuit.

Compressibility/leakage defeat assumed precise prolonged closed-center stops or automatic multi-cylinder synchronization. Swing links need CA/CB/TC pivots, not rigid LB mounts forced through arcs. Match flange direction/support height to load.

Normally no added oil is needed. Once introduced, continuously use additive-free ISO-VG32 turbine oil. Oil-mist guide: ≤25 mg/m³; 0.5–5 drops per 1000 L. Size lubricator for flow; avoid excess/incompatible oil.

Clean pipes; keep sealant off leading threads. Start required tape 1.5–2 threads back. Verify tube pressure/temperature, OD/ID and bend radius. Hot spatter may require metal/flame-resistant tubing.

Protect sliding surfaces; periodically operate stored cylinders and prevent corrosion. Use the lowest cylinder/fitting/valve/tube/sensor/cable limit; temperature options do not raise other ratings.

These are separately selected alternatives, not a supplied kit or stock promise. Match actual NPT1/8 cylinder working ports, sealing method, insertion depth, wrench/rotation clearance, flow and tube loading. PT, G and NPT are not interchangeable. The M10 × 1.25 rod thread is not an air port. Marked discontinued families, including NPSS, are historical/installed-equipment references only: confirm remaining availability or an approved replacement before ordering, not current standard supply.

Use suitable soft nylon or PU tubing with the exact inch OD; compression fittings also require the listed ID. 5/32, 1/4, 5/16 and 3/8 in are 3.96875, 6.35, 7.9375 and 9.525 mm, not nominal metric tube sizes. NPHF has male RA and additional female RB, both NPT1/8: connect or seal RB as the circuit permits; it is not a tube socket. Tees, crosses and distribution fittings must not bridge chambers or unrelated controls. NPKD uses main 1/4 in and branch 5/32 in OD.

Ordinary push-in fittings and listed flow controls are rated 0–1 MPa, −20–70 °C. NBPC/NBKC/NBB/NBZ are 0–1 MPa, 0–150 °C, limiting H pressure to 0.15–1 MPa; actual H temperature and lower component limits apply. NBPC does not share the metric BPC 0.9 MPa limit. A component vacuum rating does not approve a vacuum cylinder assembly.

NBKC5/32-3/32-1/8 follows the explicit model/dimension row; a conflicting equal-OD/ID selection-matrix row requires procurement confirmation. Hold the body hex for thread installation, not the tube-locking nut; insert tubing fully and tighten correctly. NBB has two male NPT ends; match the separately labelled second end to a female component. NBZ closes only permitted unused auxiliary connections, never either active cylinder working port.

At the cylinder, A restricts cylinder/thread → tube exhaust (meter-out), with free reverse supply; B restricts tube → cylinder supply (meter-in). A is the usual double-acting exhaust-control choice; B needs a designed meter-in circuit. Start closed and open slowly; these are not safety isolation. NPTL1/8 maximum cap-adjustment torque is 0.08 N·m, not pipe-thread torque. Do not force end stops or use pliers. NPSA is an inch tube-to-tube control without A/B suffixes: match both ODs and the body flow symbol.

NBSL/NBSLM/NBESL are only for a separately selected valve exhaust with matching NPT1/8 thread, adequate flow and acceptable backpressure. They are not cylinder working-port parts, inlet filters or shutoffs; NBESL adjustment changes backpressure. ASC10006T has two female NPT1/8 ports and needs separate male connections; follow its P/A and check/throttle symbol. Its 0.05–0.95 MPa, −20–70 °C limits the SAI path to 0.15–0.95 MPa before other limits.

GAFR20006ST is a separate upstream NPT1/8 filter/regulator: inlet ≤1 MPa, setting 0.15–0.9 MPa, −5–70 °C non-freezing. Check flow, pressure drop, condensate, bowl environment and all downstream limits. It is not a cylinder-mounted fitting or vacuum regulator. Metric PU coils, PSA/GPSA and PPA are not specified for these inch sockets; select separately verified inch tubing and connections. No complete inch-tube coil ordering code is established here.

Separate Directional-Valve and Tube Examples

The SAI32 NPT1/8 cylinder can be controlled through a correctly designed separate pneumatic circuit. The independently verified directional-valve examples below have PT/G ports, not NPT: 5V11006B050, 5V12006B050, 5V21006B050, 5V22006B050, 4V11006B, 4V11006BG, 4V12006B, 4V12006BG, 4V21006B, 4V21006BG, 4V22006B, 4V22006BG, 4A11006, 4A11006G, 4A12006, 4A12006G, 4A21006, 4A21006G, 4A22006, 4A22006G. Match valve-side and cylinder-side fittings and tubing separately; a complete mixed-thread connection kit is not established by these examples. Separate circuit examples; no speed guarantee. B means DC24V; cylinder SKU does not select voltage. 10/20 are single/double actuation. Listed 5V uses 050 (0.5 m leads), internal pilot and PT ports only; no G or NPT 5V code is inferred. Listed 4V uses default DIN entry and internal pilot; I flying-lead or -W external-pilot variants are not these examples. 4A needs independent pneumatic pilot commands, no coil voltage; verify pilot-port thread and pilot-air supply. The listed valve limit is 0.15–0.8 MPa with 40 µm filtered air, below the cylinder maximum of 1.0 MPa. Verify switching logic; apply the circuit conditions below.

Blue 100 m coil examples: PA6060040100MBU (PA6, 6×4 mm, -10 to 70°C,3 MPa at 23°C,min bend 45 mm); PA12060040100MBU (PA12, 6×4 mm, -40 to 70°C,2 MPa at 23°C,min bend 35 mm); UN54D060040100MBU (flame-resistant, 6×4 mm, -20 to 70°C,1 MPa at 23°C,min bend 12 mm); UN54D080050100MBU (flame-resistant, 8×5 mm, -20 to 70°C,1 MPa at 23°C,min bend 18 mm). Derate pressure for temperature; select compatible fittings and length. Coils are not supplied cut lengths. No reviewed nylon 8×5 mm option; 8×6 is different. Flame resistance is not a fireproof-system claim.

M5 chart entries are separate valve connections, not SAI cylinder ports. 4M needs NAMUR; no SAI mounting/adapter compatibility is established.

The PA/UN examples are metric tubing references, not matches for the reviewed inch NPT fitting sockets. Do not equate 6 mm with 1/4 inch or 8 mm with 5/16 inch; choose a separately verified complete tube/fitting chain.

Circuit-Sizing Reference

Theoretical reference speed Flow-area and tube reference
300 mm/s 1.3 mm² effective flow area; 6 × 4 mm tube OD × ID
400 mm/s 1.7 mm² effective flow area; 6 × 4 mm tube OD × ID
500 mm/s 2.1 mm² effective flow area; 6 × 4 mm tube OD × ID
600 mm/s 2.5 mm² effective flow area; 8 × 5 mm tube OD × ID
700 mm/s 2.9 mm² effective flow area; 8 × 5 mm tube OD × ID
800 mm/s 3.4 mm² effective flow area; 8 × 5 mm tube OD × ID

Generic bore-based circuit references, not measured SAI32 speeds. Flow area is neither piston area nor rated valve flow. Pressure, tube length and load are unspecified; the 0.5 MPa force example does not apply. Design for actual valve flow, fittings, tubing, cushioning, exhaust backpressure and the 30–800 mm/s cylinder limit. Similar nominal sizes do not make metric tubes fit inch sockets.

Use the catalog above for dimensions, mounting drawings and symbol positions. Before installation, check full configuration, space and separately selected accessories.

    Rod diameter / end thread 12 mm / M10×1.25
Cylinder reference weight 1665.82 g; catalog calculation, not measured shipping weight

Reference weight = 489.8 + 2.54 × 463 g, decimal grams, from the matching non-magnetic SAI single-rod base. A/B rod and H/N seal mass differences are unquantified: not certified variant mass. Excludes brackets, rod joints, sensors and packaging; actual weight prevails.

The 27 mm nominal cushion distance does not guarantee usable deceleration length for shorter strokes. Verify actual load/speed performance.

H means fluororubber, not 150 °C approval for the cylinder, sensors, cables or circuit.

FA/FB share a flange plate at different positions. CR requires CB. TC/FTC need the listed TCM1/TCM2: support size numbers may differ from bore. Confirm package and fasteners.

TC is adjustable and separately orderable for this bore. Drawing-reference support centers: position for actual load.

TC locking torque: 2–3 N·m; static holding-force reference: 800 N, not cylinder thrust or payload. Above this, specify factory nonstandard fixed TC. Place bracket on barrel ledges and position it. Pre-tighten; check bracket and barrel sloping faces contact. 32/40: tighten 8 black screws through pre-, intermediate and final tightening.

    Drawing holes: LB 4 AP; FA/FB 4 BP; CR 4 K through-holes and 4 L counterbores; TCM1 4 E; TCM2 4 L through-holes and 4 K counterbores. CA DQ/CB CP tolerance: ±0.1 mm. Hole counts do not specify supplied fastener quantities.

M10×1.25 rod joints use the carbon-steel catalog category; subparts/finishes are unspecified. Select joints/guides for load. Joint mass is excluded from cylinder weight. Y drawing: no separate pin-kit code or guaranteed kit count.

    Force and Application

    Parameter Value
Extension effective area 804 mm²; catalog rounded single-rod area
    Extension at 0.5 MPa 402 N theoretical
Retraction effective area 690 mm²; catalog rounded single-rod area
    Retraction at 0.5 MPa 345 N theoretical

Theoretical axial force = effective area (mm²) × pressure (MPa), before friction/losses. Rod area reduces retraction area. Not safe working loads or guaranteed payloads.

    Installation and Maintenance

Qualified personnel only. Before maintenance: secure loads, guard motion, isolate power/air and release residual pressure. Prevent unexpected restart motion; design for power/air loss.

Use clean, dry air filtered ≤40 µm; remove water, degraded oil and debris. Protect from dust, corrosion, coolant, weld spatter, vibration, heat and freezing; assess unusually dry air. Strong magnetic fields affect sensing.

Start unloaded; increase load gradually. Align rod/load; guide against side load, bending, impact and torque. Check long-stroke buckling, sag, support and air use. Rod joints do not replace guides.

    Load-ratio guidance: ≤0.7 static/low speed; ≤0.5 at 50–500 mm/s; ≤0.3 above 500 mm/s. Not structural safety factors or payload guarantees; obey cylinder pressure/speed limits.

Fit flow controls at both ports; double action normally uses meter-out. Start closed; open gradually. Set cushions for load/speed without forcing screws. Heavy/fast loads may need an external absorber or deceleration circuit.

Compressibility/leakage defeat assumed precise prolonged closed-center stops or automatic multi-cylinder synchronization. Swing links need CA/CB/TC pivots, not rigid LB mounts forced through arcs. Match flange direction/support height to load.

Normally no added oil is needed. Once introduced, continuously use additive-free ISO-VG32 turbine oil. Oil-mist guide: ≤25 mg/m³; 0.5–5 drops per 1000 L. Size lubricator for flow; avoid excess/incompatible oil.

Clean pipes; keep sealant off leading threads. Start required tape 1.5–2 threads back. Verify tube pressure/temperature, OD/ID and bend radius. Hot spatter may require metal/flame-resistant tubing.

Protect sliding surfaces; periodically operate stored cylinders and prevent corrosion. Use the lowest cylinder/fitting/valve/tube/sensor/cable limit; temperature options do not raise other ratings.

    Magnetic Sensing

This model has no built-in magnet. DMSE and CMSE magnetic sensors are not applicable to this piston as ordered; adding a sensor does not add a magnet. A separately confirmed magnetic cylinder configuration is required for magnetic detection.
