Product Features
- The filter removes moisture and solid particles from compressed air.
- The filter uses air rotation to separate liquid and an element to remove particles, with low pressure loss and high water-separation performance.
- The catalog provides semi-automatic drainage with manual operation, or automatic drainage. The selected option is identified above.
- Bowl materials are selected by model code, allowing the published PC, metal and nylon options to be distinguished.

Internal Construction
The parts table covers the GAF series. Items 1–6 identify the filter construction and the selected bowl material. The catalog illustrates GAF200 and GAF600 section views; the additional guard/level-indicator items below are explicitly labeled as those drawing references, not a claim that every bowl version has both assemblies.

GAF400; horizontal axis: flow in L/min, shown from 0 to 8000; vertical axis: outlet pressure, 0–0.6 MPa. |
| Reading the chart |
The curves show performance under their indicated test conditions. The end of the plotted axis is not a rated flow at every pressure. |
| Inlet-pressure condition |
The linked GAF flow plot does not print a separate inlet-pressure value. Do not import a test pressure from another family’s curve. |

Weight Reference and Catalog Edition
Approximate reference weight: 646 g. The 2022 comprehensive catalog, printed page 300, lists GAF400–15J at this value. This same-family / same-size reference is used for the current listing; it is not a published weight for the complete current option code. Differences not individually mass-adjusted: the nylon bowl is referenced to the same-size PC-bowl entry because no nylon mass is listed; automatic drain A; filter option W; thread option G; the current mounting bracket is included, whereas the reference J code omits it. This is a reference estimate, not an individual measurement or packaged shipping weight. The linked family catalog separately gives 640 g as its general family reference. The two source values have different published scopes; the selected weight-field reference follows the 2022 table.
Optional Piping Accessories
IN = the GAF filter’s G1/2 female compressed-air inlet; OUT = its G1/2 female filtered-air outlet. Connect them separately with matching male threads and follow the body’s IN → OUT direction. Do not bridge or bypass the filter. Q in the drawing denotes condensate drainage and is not assigned to these air-piping accessories. Multiple keys retain each use. Tube OD is mm (in = inches); compression/tubing show OD × ID. These piping accessories are optional and ordered separately.
Code-prefix uses (match the longest listed family prefix): GBB male–male; GBD male–female; GBKC compression fitting; GBPC metal straight; GPC straight; GPEB branch tee; GPED run tee; GPH banjo elbow; GPHF female branch banjo; GPHW twin banjo; GPL elbow; GPLL extended elbow; GPYB Y; GPZB cross; UE PU tube; US PU tube.

These optional connections and tubes are ordered separately for the GAF air filter. Match PT/G/NPT exactly and use the specified thread seal or face gasket. IN and OUT are female ports and require their own matching male connections. Follow the body’s normal IN → OUT markings; do not bridge or bypass the filter. Keep the main air lines separate from the condensate-drain connection.
Match tube OD and compression OD/ID; metric and inch sizes are not interchangeable. Use suitable soft nylon/PU tube and check seating, clearance, bends, support and required flow. Tighten compression bodies by the hex, not tube nuts. Where listed, a D suffix means black, blank means grey, -M means miniature, and -S applies only to the specified 304 stainless parts.
GPHF fittings use male RA at the selected IN or OUT port; female RB requires its own matching male thread and seal and is not a tube socket. Match both adapter ends to their separate mating parts. Keep every extra branch on its assigned side of the filter; do not connect IN to OUT around the assembly or connect an air line to the drain.
The GAF filter’s published working pressure range is 0.15–0.9 MPa. This is an operating range, not an adjustable outlet-pressure range. Check actual IN and OUT pressures, pressure loss and required flow with the selected filter grade. Every fitting, seal and tube must satisfy its own local pressure rating throughout operation and pressure changes. The 1.5 MPa proof pressure is not a continuous working rating and does not raise the filter or accessory limits.
Use within −5–70°C without freezing and every stricter accessory limit. The filter separates liquid and particles from compressed air; it does not establish a dew-point rating or guarantee oil-free air. Confirm that the actual air contaminants and any upstream lubricant are compatible with the selected bowl, fittings, seals and tubing. These selections do not establish process-liquid, condensate or vacuum service for the listed air-piping accessories.
Standard push-in fittings: ≤1 MPa, −20–70°C. Metal GBPC: ≤0.9 MPa; compression fittings/thread adapters: ≤1 MPa. The listed metal push-in, compression and adapter groups have a 0–150°C component range, so a path using them is limited to 0–70°C or narrower with this filter. Apply the stricter filter, fitting, seal and tube pressure limit at both IN and OUT; no accessory rating increases the filter’s 0.9 MPa maximum. Confirm compatibility with the actual air contaminants.
US98A/UE95A examples are separately ordered blue 100 m metric PU coils rated 1 MPa at 23°C. US98A: −20–70°C; UE95A: −40–70°C. Match the assigned air connection’s required OD/ID and derate as temperature rises within all unit, fitting and tube limits; 1 MPa is not assured throughout. Use inch tube where the selected connection requires it; metric tube is not a substitute. These examples are not assigned to the condensate drain.
Items marked discontinued are historical service references, not current standard recommendations. Confirm availability or a manufacturer-approved replacement. An unmarked catalogue entry does not promise current production, stock or delivery.
